CMWSC "My Water Drop Saves" Campaign Launches
Campaign Overview
My Water Drop Saves is a week-long spring water conservation campaign taking place April 6–10, 2026, designed to encourage simple, everyday actions that reduce water waste at home, at school, and throughout the community. The campaign emphasizes how small individual actions, when combined, can lead to meaningful water savings.
The campaign incorporates daily themes, community challenges, school engagement, and the use of CMWSC’s water conservation mascot, Quenchy, to educate and engage members in a positive and memorable way.
Campaign Goals
- Encourage practical water-saving habits
- Increase community and student engagement in water conservation
- Promote awareness through social sharing and participation
- Reinforce CMWSC’s commitment to long-term water stewardship
Campaign Structure
Duration: 5 consecutive days (April 6-10, 2026)
Audience: Members, families, students, teachers, staff, and community partners
Platforms: Social media, schools, events, and in-person engagement

Day 1: “Catch the Leak!”
Message: Even the tiniest drip adds up.
Action: Check your faucets, toilets, and outdoor spigots for leaks.
Challenge:
• Post a photo or comment: “I caught the leak!”
• Share your water-saving fix (plumber tip, DIY repair, etc.)
• Use #MyWaterDropSaves in your post
Day 2: “Water Wisely Outdoors”
Message: Most household water waste happens outside.
Action:
• Adjust sprinklers and water only from 8 PM–10 AM
• Skip watering if rain is in the forecast
Challenge:
• Share a photo of your sprinkler timer or smart irrigation setup
• Use #MyWaterDropSaves on social media
Day 3: “Power Down the Pressure”
Message: Big water pressure = big waste.
Action: Install a faucet aerator or low-flow showerhead.
Challenge:
• Take the 5-minute shower challenge
• Post a video or photo using a timer or sharing your favorite quick-shower tip

Day 4: “Every Drop Counts at School”
Message: Students can lead the way in saving water.
Action: Teachers and staff share a water-saving tip, lesson, or short video.
Challenge:
• Students create a pledge, drawing, or sentence about what “My Water Drop Saves” means to them
• Post class artwork or projects and use #MyWaterDropSaves
Day 5: “Take the Pledge – This Is My Water Drop”
Message: Change starts with one drop — and one person.
Action: Take the pledge to protect water at home, school, and work.
